‘Colours of Arabia’ is a series of 10 digital films for Asian Paints telling the incredible journey of a blind girl, Noor, in search of colours, and also my directorial debut.
Travelling across 3 countries, facing harsh terrains and climates, all during the month of Ramadan and fasting, with a small crew and a budget, was an experience of a lifetime.
The film went ahead to be recognised and appreciated across the globe and the then first-time actors are now acting in movies and national commercials.
The journey, for me, was all about understanding that making a film is not just about experience, people, and knowledge, it’s about the stars lining up and overcoming unforeseen hurdles.
